Pakistan Association Host a Welcome Dinner in Sydney for H.E. Fauzia Nasreen

THE Pakistan Association of Australia hosted a Dinner to Welcome the New High Commissioner of Pakistan to Australia & Fiji H.E. Fauzia Nasreen. The Dinner was held on the evening of Monday, 04th January 2010 at Function Centre Himalaya Restaurant Sydney. The Consul General of Pakistan to Sydney Mr. Azam Mohammed, New Consul Hamid Asghar, Area Manager of Pakistan International Airlines Australia Mr. Nadeem Jaffer, community professionals were also present at the Welcome Dinner of PAA for Mohtarma Fauzia Nasreen. Mr. Naseer Bhatti was MC of the Function. Miss Mehreen Javed presented one famous National Song of Pakistan.

Mr Iftikhar Rana briefs about the History, Community Services of PAA and the social activities of the Pakistan Association of Australia. Mr. Iftikhar Rana also presented visibility report about the Pakistani Community Centre Sydney. Mr. Azam Mohammed, Consul General of Pakistan Warm Welcome High Commissioner Mohtarma Fauzia Nasreen as a senior career diplomat and Pakistan’s new envoy to Australia.
In the end High Commissioner Fauzia Nasreen thanked PAA & all distinguished guests. She hailed the efforts being exerted by the Australian Government & Australian Pakistani Community assistance by the side of the Pakistani people in its difficult circumstances particularly in the massive quake disaster or humanitarian crisis posed by more than two million displaced from Sawat areas. H.E. Fauzia Nasreen said that this is my first trip to Sydney since my posting to Australia and I am glade to meet Pakistani Community.
H.E.Fauzia Nasreen in her address thanked the PAA for holding such a splendid dinner in her honor. She praised and admired the Pakistani Community in the New South Wales for being together on a single platform. The High Commissioner Fauzia Nasreen said that Government of Pakistan will cooperate with PAA for the Pakistan Community Centre in Sydney and Association can send suggestions in writing to the High Commission.
